[Some] of His disciplesthensaidto one another,"Whatis this thingHe is tellingus, 'A little while,and you will not seeMe; and againa little while,and you will seeMe'; and, 'becauseI goto the Father'?"
They seizedupon that statement,discussingwith one anotherwhatrisingfrom the deadmeant.
But they did not understand[this] statement,and they were afraidto askHim.
But the disciples understoodnoneof these things, and [the meaning of] thisstatementwas hiddenfrom them, and they did not comprehendthe things that were said.
But they did not understandthisstatement,and it was concealedfrom them sothat they would not perceiveit; and they were afraidto askHim aboutthisstatement.
These thingsHis disciplesdid not understandat the first;but whenJesuswas glorified,thenthey rememberedthat these thingswere writtenof Him, and that they had donethese thingsto Him.
Judas(not Iscariot)saidto Him, "Lord,whatthenhas happenedthat You are goingto discloseYourselfto us and not to the world?"
Thomassaidto Him, "Lord,we do not knowwhereYou are going,howdo we knowthe way?"
"These thingsI have spokento you sothat you may be keptfrom stumbling.
"A little while,and you will no longerseeMe; and againa little while,and you will seeMe."
Sothey were saying,"Whatis thisthat He says,'A little while?We do not knowwhatHe is talkingabout."
Jesusknewthat they wishedto questionHim, and He saidto them, "Are you deliberatingtogetheraboutthis,that I said,'A little while,and you will not seeMe, and againa little while,and you will seeMe'?
"But nowI am goingto Him who sentMe; and noneof you asksMe, 'Whereare You going?'
