"Truly,truly,I sayto you, he who believesin Me, the worksthat I do,he will doalso;and greater[works] than thesehe will do;becauseI goto the Father.
And Jesusansweredand saidto them, "TrulyI sayto you, ifyou havefaithand do not doubt,you will not onlydowhatwas done to the fig tree,but even ifyou sayto thismountain,'Be takenup and castinto the sea,'it will happen.
Seeingat a distancea fig treein leaf,He went[to see] ifperhapsHe would findanythingon it; and when He cameto it, He foundnothingbut leaves,for it was not the seasonfor figs.
"Thesesignswill accompanythosewho have believed:in My namethey will castout demons,they will speakwith newtongues;
"You heardthat I saidto you, 'I go away,and I will cometo you.' Ifyou lovedMe, you would have rejoicedbecauseI goto the Father,for the Fatheris greaterthan I.
"But I tellyou the truth,it is to your advantagethat I goaway;for ifI do not go away,the Helperwill not cometo you; but ifI go,I will sendHim to you.
"For in this[case] the sayingis true,Onesowsand anotherreaps.'
"For the Fatherlovesthe Son,and showsHim all thingsthat He Himselfis doing;and [the Father] will showHim greaterworksthan these,sothat you will marvel.
ThereforeJesussaid,"For a littlewhilelongerI amwith you, thenI goto Him who sentMe.
But thisHe spokeof the Spirit,whomthosewho believedin Him were to receive;for the Spiritwas not yet[given], becauseJesuswas not yetglorified.
For they were hearingthem speakingwith tonguesand exaltingGod.ThenPeteranswered,
She continued doingthisfor manydays.But Paulwas greatly annoyed,and turnedand saidto the spirit,"I commandyou in the nameof JesusChristto comeout of her!" And it cameout at that verymoment.
sothat handkerchiefsorapronswere evencarriedfrom his bodyto the sick,and the diseasesleftthem and the evilspiritswentout.
"Thereforehaving been exaltedto the right handof God,and having receivedfrom the Fatherthe promiseof the HolySpirit,He has poured forththiswhichyou bothseeand hear.
So then,thosewho had receivedhis wordwere baptized;and that daythere were addedaboutthree thousandsouls.
saying,"Whatshall we dowith thesemen?For the factthat a noteworthymiraclehas taken placethroughthem is apparentto allwho livein Jerusalem,and we cannotdenyit.
And with greatpowerthe apostleswere givingtestimonyto the resurrectionof the LordJesus,and abundantgracewas upon them all.
But manyof thosewho had heardthe messagebelieved;and the numberof the mencameto be aboutfivethousand.
to such an extentthat they evencarriedthe sickout into the streetsand laidthem on cotsand pallets,sothat when Petercameby at leasthis shadowmight fallon any oneof them.
The wordof Godkept on spreading;and the numberof the disciplescontinued to increasegreatlyin Jerusalem,and a greatmanyof the priestswere becoming obedientto the faith.
For [in the case of] manywho haduncleanspirits,they were comingout [of them] shoutingwith a loudvoice;and manywho had been paralyzedand lamewere healed.
Petersaidto him, "Aeneas,JesusChristhealsyou; getup and make your bed."Immediatelyhe gotup.
But Petersentthem allout and kneltdownand prayed,and turningto the body,he said,"Tabitha,arise."And she openedher eyes,and when she sawPeter,she satup.
in the powerof signsand wonders,in the powerof the Spirit;sothat from Jerusalemand round aboutas faras IllyricumI have fully preachedthe gospelof Christ.
