"Do not let your heartbe troubled;believein God,believealsoin Me.
Whyare you in despair,O my soul?And whyare you disturbedwithinme? Hopein God,for I shall againpraiseHim, The helpof my countenanceand my God.
Then I said,"It is my grief,That the righthandof the MostHighhas changed."
"The steadfastof mindYou will keepin perfectpeace,Becausehe trustsin You.
My sorrowis beyond healing,My heartis faint[within me]!
WhenJesusthereforesawher weeping,and the Jewswho camewith her [also] weeping,He was deeply movedin spiritand was troubled,
"NowMy soulhas become troubled;and whatshall I say,Father,saveMe from thishour?But for thispurpose I cameto thishour.
And Jesuscriedout and said,"He who believesin Me, does not believein Me but in Him who sentMe.
"From nowon I am tellingyou before[it] comesto pass,sothat whenit does occur,you may believethat I am[He].
"Untilnowyou have askedfor nothingin My name;askand you will receive,sothat your joymay be made full.
"These thingsthey will dobecausethey have not knownthe FatherorMe.
"But becauseI have saidthese thingsto you, sorrowhas filledyour heart.
sothat allwill honorthe Sonevenas they honorthe Father.He who does not honorthe Sondoes not honorthe Fatherwho sentHim.
"For thisis the willof My Father,that everyonewho beholdsthe Sonand believesin Him will haveeternallife,and I Myselfwill raisehim up on the lastday."
sothat on the contraryyou should ratherforgiveand comfort[him], otherwisesuch a onemight be overwhelmedby excessivesorrow.
For thisreasonI too,having heardof the faithin the LordJesuswhich [exists] amongyou and your lovefor allthe saints,
that you not be quicklyshakenfrom your composureorbe disturbedeitherby a spiritora messageora letteras iffrom us, to the effectthat the dayof the Lordhas come.
who throughHim are believersin God,who raisedHim from the deadand gaveHim glory,sothat your faithand hopeare in God.
