Jesus,therefore,sixdaysbeforethe Passover,cameto BethanywhereLazaruswas, whomJesushad raisedfrom the dead.
And He leftthem and wentout of the cityto Bethany,and spent the nightthere.
Jesus enteredJerusalem[and came] into the temple;and after looking aroundat everything,He leftfor Bethanywith the twelve,since it was alreadylate.
And He ledthem out as faras Bethany,and He liftedup His handsand blessedthem.
And there was a womanin the citywhowas a sinner;and when she learnedthat He was reclining[at the table] in the Pharisee'shouse,she broughtan alabaster vialof perfume,
Nowa certain manwas sick,Lazarusof Bethany,the villageof Maryand her sisterMartha.
When He had saidthese things,He criedout with a loudvoice,"Lazarus,comeforth."
The man who had diedcame forth,boundhandand footwith wrappings,and his facewas wrapped aroundwith a cloth.Jesussaidto them, "Unbindhim, and lethim go."
Nowthe Passoverof the Jewswas near,and manywentup to Jerusalemout of the countrybeforethe Passoverto purifythemselves.
On the next daythe largecrowdwho had cometo the feast,when they heardthat Jesuswas comingto Jerusalem,
Nowtherewere someGreeksamongthosewho were goingup to worshipat the feast;
The largecrowdof the Jewsthenlearnedthat He was there;and they came,not for Jesus'sakeonly,but that they might alsoseeLazarus,whomHe raisedfrom the dead.
