Now it cameabout afterthesethingsthat Josephwas told,"Behold,your fatheris sick."So he tookhis twosonsManassehand Ephraimwith him.
And He leftthem and wentout of the cityto Bethany,and spent the nightthere.
As they approachedJerusalem,at Bethphageand Bethany,nearthe Mountof Olives,He senttwoof His disciples,
ThisHe said,and afterthat He saidto them, "Our friendLazarushas fallen asleep;but I go,sothat I may awaken him out of sleep."
NowBethanywas nearJerusalem,abouttwomilesoff;
and manyof the Jewshad cometo Marthaand Mary,to consolethem concerning[their] brother.
Sothe sisterssent[word] to Him, saying,"Lord,behold,he whomYou loveis sick."
Sothe people,who were with Him whenHe calledLazarusout of the tomband raisedhim from the dead,continued to testify[about Him].
The largecrowdof the Jewsthenlearnedthat He was there;and they came,not for Jesus'sakeonly,but that they might alsoseeLazarus,whomHe raisedfrom the dead.
And it happenedat that timethat she fell sickand died;and when they had washedher body, they laidit in an upper room.
