"Teachus whatwe shall sayto Him; We cannotarrange[our case] becauseof darkness.
"But I have intelligenceas wellas you; I am not inferiorto you. And whodoes not knowsuchthings as these?
"But I would speakto the Almighty,And I desireto arguewith God.
"Pleasehearmy argumentAnd listento the contentionsof my lips.
"Behold,theseare the fringesof His ways;And howfainta wordwe hearof Him! But His mightythunder,whocan understand?"
"Shall it be toldHim that I would speak?Orshould a mansaythat he would be swallowedup?
"Whois thisthat darkenscounselBy wordswithoutknowledge?
"Behold,I am insignificant;whatcan I replyto You? I laymy handon my mouth.
Whois thisthat hidescounselwithoutknowledge?'"ThereforeI have declaredthat which I did not understand,Thingstoowonderfulfor me, which I did not know."
"Howthencan I answerHim, [And] choosemy wordsbeforeHim?
[Such] knowledgeis toowonderfulfor me; It is [too] high,I cannotattain to it.
Then I was senselessand ignorant;I was [like] a beastbeforeYou.
In the same waythe Spiritalsohelpsour weakness;for we do not knowhowto prayas we should,but the SpiritHimselfintercedesfor [us] with groaningstoo deep for words;
For nowwe seein a mirrordimly,but thenfaceto face;nowI knowin part,but thenI will knowfullyjustas I alsohave been fully known.
Beloved,nowwe are childrenof God,and it has not appearedas yetwhatwe will be. We knowthat whenHe appears,we will be likeHim, becausewe will seeHim justas He is.
