The menwere amazed,and said,"What kindof a manis this,that eventhe windsand the seaobeyHim?"
Allwho heardthem keptthem in mind,saying,"Whatthenwill thischild[turn out to] be?" For the handof the Lordwas certainlywith him.
Nowwhen the Phariseewho had invitedHim sawthis, he saidto himself,"Ifthis manwere a prophetHe would knowwhoand what sort of personthiswomanis whois touchingHim, that she is a sinner."
for our gospeldid not cometo you in wordonly,but alsoin powerand in the HolySpiritand with fullconviction;justas you knowwhat kind of menwe provedto be amongyou for your sake.
For ifanyoneis a hearerof the wordand not a doer,he is likea manwho looksat his naturalfacein a mirror;
But one who looks intentlyat the perfectlaw,the [law] of liberty,and abidesby it, not having becomea forgetfulhearerbut an effectualdoer,this manwill be blessedin what he does.
Since allthese thingsare to be destroyedin this way,what sortof people oughtyou to be in holyconductand godliness,
