(for the Lawmadenothingperfect),and on the other handthere is a bringingin of a betterhope,throughwhichwe draw nearto God.
and throughHim everyonewho believesis freedfrom all things,from whichyou couldnot be freedthroughthe Lawof Moses.
Thereforelet us draw nearwith confidenceto the throneof grace,sothat we may receivemercyand findgraceto helpin time of need.
which[is] a symbolfor the presenttime.Accordinglybothgiftsand sacrificesare offeredwhich cannotmakethe worshiperperfectin conscience,
For whatthe Lawcouldnot do, weakas it was throughthe flesh,God[did]: sendingHis ownSonin the likenessof sinfulfleshand [as an offering] for sin,He condemnedsinin the flesh,
because Godhad providedsomethingbetterfor us, sothat apartfrom us they would not be made perfect.
For the Law,since it has[only] a shadowof the good thingsto come[and] not the veryformof things,cannever,by the samesacrificeswhichthey offercontinuallyyear by year,make perfectthosewho draw near.
sothat by twounchangeablethingsin whichit is impossiblefor Godto lie,we who have taken refugewould havestrongencouragementto take holdof the hopeset beforeus.
throughwhomalsowe have obtainedour introductionby faithinto thisgracein whichwe stand;and we exultin hopeof the gloryof God.
But nowHe has obtaineda more excellentministry,by as muchas He is alsothe mediatorof a bettercovenant,whichhas been enactedon betterpromises.
ThereforeHe is ablealsoto saveforeverthosewho draw nearto GodthroughHim, since He alwayslivesto make intercessionfor them.
neverthelessknowingthat a manis not justifiedby the worksof the Lawbut throughfaithin ChristJesus,evenwe have believedin ChristJesus,sothat we may be justifiedby faithin Christand not by the worksof the Law;sinceby the worksof the Lawnofleshwill be justified.
Jesussaidto him, "I amthe way,and the truth,and the life;no onecomesto the Fatherbut throughMe.
But as for me, the nearnessof Godis my good;I have madethe LordGODmy refuge,That I may tellof allYour works.
Nowifperfectionwas throughthe Leviticalpriesthood(for on the basisof it the peoplereceived the Law),whatfurtherneed[was there] for anotherpriestto ariseaccordingto the orderof Melchizedek,and not be designatedaccordingto the orderof Aaron?
Paul,an apostleof ChristJesusaccordingto the commandmentof Godour Savior,and of ChristJesus,[who is] our hope,
to whomGodwilledto make knownwhatis the richesof the gloryof thismysteryamongthe Gentiles,whichis Christin you, the hopeof glory.
in whomwe haveboldnessand confidentaccessthroughfaithin Him.
Thereforethe Lawhas becomeour tutor[to lead us] to Christ,sothat we may be justifiedby faith.
For the Lawwas giventhroughMoses;graceand truthwere realizedthroughJesusChrist.
You drewnearwhenI calledon You; You said,"Do not fear!"
Whatshall we saythen?Is the Lawsin?May it neverbe! On the contrary,I would not have come to knowsinexceptthroughthe Law;for I would not have known aboutcovetingifthe Lawhad not said,"YOU SHALL NOT COVET."
Is the Lawthencontraryto the promisesof God?May it neverbe! For ifa lawhad been givenwhich was ableto impart life,then righteousnesswould indeedhave beenbasedon law.
but Christ[was faithful] as a SonoverHis house--whosehousewe are, ifwe hold fastour confidenceand the boastof our hopefirmuntilthe end.
And inasmuchas [it was] not withoutan oath
And withoutfaithit is impossibleto please[Him], for he who comesto Godmustbelievethat He is and [that] He is a rewarderof thosewho seekHim.
Drawnearto Godand He will draw nearto you. Cleanseyour hands,you sinners;and purifyyour hearts,you double-minded.
