and Esausaidto Jacob,"Pleaselet me havea swallowof that redstuffthere, for I am famished."Thereforehis namewas calledEdom.
Theseare the chiefsof the sonsof Esau.The sonsof Eliphaz,the firstbornof Esau,are chiefTeman,chiefOmar,chiefZepho,chiefKenaz,
chiefKenaz,chiefTeman,chiefMibzar,
Thesethen are [the records of] the generationsof Esauthe fatherof the Edomitesin the hillcountryof Seir.
Now Jacoblivedin the landwherehis fatherhad sojourned,in the landof Canaan.
