Then the [two] mensaidto Lot,"Whomelsehave you here?A son-in-law,and your sons,and your daughters,and whomeveryou have in the city,bring[them] out of the place;
They struckthe menwhowere at the doorwayof the housewith blindness,bothsmalland great,so that they wearied[themselves trying] to findthe doorway.
for we are about to destroythisplace,becausetheir outcryhas becomesogreatbeforethe LORDthat the LORDhas sentus to destroyit."
Lotwentout and spoketo his sons-in-law,who were to marryhis daughters,and said,"Up, getout of thisplace,for the LORDwill destroythe city."But he appearedto his sons-in-lawto be jesting.
When they had broughtthem outside,one said,"Escapefor your life!Do not lookbehindyou, and do not stayanywherein the valley;escapeto the mountains,oryou will be sweptaway."
"Hurry,escapethere,for I cannotdoanythinguntilyou arrivethere."Thereforethe nameof the townwas calledZoar.
Then the LORDsaidto Noah,"Enterthe ark,you and allyour household,for you [alone] I have seen[to be] righteousbeforeMe in thistime.
and I will givethem oneheartand oneway,that they may fearMe always,for their own goodand for [the good of] their childrenafterthem.
"Comeforthfrom her midst,My people,And eachof you saveyourselvesFrom the fierceangerof the LORD.
and he spoketo the congregation,saying,"Departnowfrom the tentsof thesewickedmen,and touchnothingthat belongs to them, oryou will be sweptawayin alltheir sin."
and [if] He rescuedrighteousLot,oppressedby the sensualconductof unprincipled men
[then] the Lordknows howto rescuethe godlyfrom temptation,and to keepthe unrighteousunder punishmentfor the dayof judgment,
I heardanothervoicefrom heaven,saying,"Comeout of her, my people,sothat you will not participatein her sinsand receiveof her plagues;
