Thenafteran interval of fourteenyearsI wentup againto Jerusalemwith Barnabas,takingTitusalongalso.
And he leftfor Tarsusto lookfor Saul;
And thisthey did,sendingit in chargeof Barnabasand Saulto the elders.
And Barnabasand Saulreturnedfrom Jerusalemwhen they had fulfilledtheir mission,taking alongwith [them] John,who was also calledMark.
While they were ministeringto the Lordand fasting,the HolySpiritsaid,"Set apartfor Me Barnabasand Saulfor the workto whichI have calledthem."
But the Jewsincitedthe devoutwomenof prominenceand the leading menof the city,and instigateda persecutionagainstPauland Barnabas,and drovethem out of their district.
And they [began] callingBarnabas,Zeus,and Paul,Hermes,becausehe was the chiefspeaker.
it seemed goodto us, having becomeof one mind,to selectmento sendto you with our belovedBarnabasand Paul,
Ordo onlyBarnabasand I not havea rightto refrainfrom working?
I hadnorestfor my spirit,not findingTitusmy brother;but taking my leaveof them, I wenton to Macedonia.
But thanksbe to Godwho putsthe sameearnestnesson your behalfin the heartof Titus.
As for Titus,[he is] my partnerand fellow workeramongyou; as for our brethren,[they are] messengersof the churches,a gloryto Christ.
ThenthreeyearslaterI wentup to Jerusalemto become acquaintedwith Cephas,and stayedwith him fifteendays.
The restof the Jewsjoined him in hypocrisy,with the resultthat evenBarnabaswas carried awayby their hypocrisy.
But not evenTitus,whowas with me, though he was a Greek,was compelledto be circumcised.
and recognizingthe gracethat had been givento me, Jamesand Cephasand John,who were reputedto be pillars,gaveto me and Barnabasthe right handof fellowship,sothat we [might] [go] to the Gentilesand they to the circumcised.
Aristarchus,my fellow prisoner,sends you his greetings;and [also] Barnabas'scousinMark(aboutwhomyou receivedinstructions;ifhe comesto you, welcomehim);
