Then He said,"Throwit on the ground."So he threwit on the ground,and it becamea serpent;and Mosesfledfrom it.
"You shall takein your handthisstaff,with whichyou shall performthe signs."
But the LORDsaidto Moses,"Stretchout your handand grasp[it] by its tail"--so he stretchedout his handand caughtit, and it becamea staffin his hand--
"WhenPharaohspeaksto you, saying,Worka miracle,'then you shall sayto Aaron,Takeyour staffand throw[it] downbeforePharaoh,[that] it may becomea serpent.'"
As whena manfleesfrom a lionAnd a bearmeetshim, Or goeshome,leanshis handagainstthe wallAnd a snakebiteshim.
