"You shall makeof these a holyanointingoil,a perfumemixture,the workof a perfumer;it shall be a holyanointingoil.
Zadokthe priestthen tookthe hornof oilfrom the tentand anointedSolomon.Then they blewthe trumpet,and allthe peoplesaid,"[Long] liveKingSolomon!"
Someof the sonsof the priestspreparedthe mixingof the spices.
It is like the preciousoilupon the head,Comingdownupon the beard,[Even] Aaron'sbeard,Comingdownupon the edgeof his robes.
"I have foundDavidMy servant;With My holyoilI have anointedhim,
"You shall putthem on Aaronyour brotherand on his sonswith him; and you shall anointthem and ordainthem and consecratethem, that they may serveMe as priests.
"Then you shall takesomeof the bloodthat is on the altarand someof the anointingoil,and sprinkle[it] on Aaronand on his garmentsand on his sonsand on his sons'garmentswith him; so he and his garmentsshall be consecrated,as well as his sonsand his sons'garmentswith him.
"Then you shall takethe anointingoiland pourit on his headand anointhim.
and of cassiafivehundred,according to the shekelof the sanctuary,and of oliveoila hin.
It shall not be pouredon anyone'sbody,norshall you make[any] likeit in the same proportions;it is holy,[and] it shall be holyto you.
"With it you shall makeincense,a perfume,the workof a perfumer,salted,pure,[and] holy.
and the altarof incenseand its poles,and the anointingoiland the fragrantincense,and the screenfor the doorwayat the entranceof the tabernacle;
And he madethe holyanointingoiland the pure,fragrantincenseof spices,the workof a perfumer.
"Then you shall takethe anointingoiland anointthe tabernacleand allthat is in it, and shall consecrateit and allits furnishings;and it shall be holy.
Deadfliesmake a perfumer'soilstink,so a littlefoolishnessis weightierthanwisdom[and] honor.
Mosesthen tookthe anointingoiland anointedthe tabernacleand allthat was in it, and consecratedthem.
"TakeAaronand his sonswith him, and the garmentsand the anointingoiland the bullof the sinoffering,and the tworamsand the basketof unleavenedbread,
The congregationshall deliverthe manslayerfrom the handof the bloodavenger,and the congregationshall restorehim to his cityof refugeto whichhe fled;and he shall livein it untilthe deathof the highpriestwhowas anointedwith the holyoil.
"YOU HAVE LOVEDRIGHTEOUSNESSAND HATEDLAWLESSNESS;THEREFOREGOD,YOUR GOD,HAS ANOINTEDYOU WITH THE OILOF GLADNESSABOVEYOUR COMPANIONS."
