"Ifyou buya Hebrewslave,he shall servefor sixyears;but on the seventhhe shall goout as a freemanwithoutpayment.
"At the endof sevenyearseachof you shall setfreehis Hebrewbrotherwhohas been soldto you and has servedyou sixyears,you shall sendhim out freefrom you; but your forefathersdid not obeyMe or inclinetheir earto Me.
"Thisis the mannerof remission:everycreditorshall releasewhathe has loanedto his neighbor;he shall not exactit of his neighborand his brother,becausethe LORD'Sremissionhas been proclaimed.
"Bewarethat there is nobasethoughtin your heart,saying,The seventhyear,the yearof remission,is near,'and your eyeis hostiletoward your poorbrother,and you givehim nothing;then he may cryto the LORDagainstyou, and it will be a sinin you.
