"In that you sawthe feetand toes,partlyof potter'sclayand partlyof iron,it will be a dividedkingdom;but it will havein it the toughnessof iron,inasmuchas you sawthe ironmixedwith commonclay.
"Then there will be a fourthkingdomas strongas iron;inasmuchas ironcrushesand shattersallthings,so, like ironthat breaksin pieces,it will crushand breakallthesein pieces.
"[As] the toesof the feet[were] partlyof ironand partlyof pottery,[so] someof the kingdomwill be strongand partof it will be brittle.
As for the tenhorns,out of this kingdomtenkingswill arise;and anotherwill ariseafterthem, and he will be differentfrom the previousonesand will subduethreekings.
"AfterthisI keptlookingin the nightvisions,and behold,a fourthbeast,dreadfuland terrifyingand extremelystrong;and it had largeironteeth.It devouredand crushedand trampleddownthe remainderwith its feet;and it was differentfrom allthe beaststhat were beforeit, and it had tenhorns.
Thenanothersignappearedin heaven:and behold,a greatreddragonhavingsevenheadsand tenhorns,and on his heads[were] sevendiadems.
And the dragon stoodon the sandof the seashore.ThenI sawa beastcomingup out of the sea,havingtenhornsand sevenheads,and on his horns[were] tendiadems,and on his heads[were] blasphemousnames.
"The tenhornswhichyou saware tenkingswhohave not yetreceiveda kingdom,but they receiveauthorityas kingswith the beastfor onehour.
