When allIsraelheardof the judgmentwhichthe kinghad handeddown,they fearedthe king,for they sawthat the wisdomof Godwas in him to administerjustice.
"Thus it is hiddenfrom the eyesof alllivingAnd concealedfrom the birdsof the sky.
Ifyou seekher as silverAnd searchfor her as for hiddentreasures;
The Spiritof the LORDwill reston Him, The spiritof wisdomand understanding,The spiritof counseland strength,The spiritof knowledgeand the fearof the LORD.
With whomdid He consultand [who] gaveHim understanding?And [who] taughtHim in the pathof justiceand taughtHim knowledgeAnd informedHim of the wayof understanding?
"Thereforedo not fearthem, for there is nothingconcealedthat will not be revealed,orhiddenthat will not be known.
"For thisreasonalsothe wisdomof Godsaid,I will sendto them prophetsand apostles,and [some] of them they will killand [some] they will persecute,
Oh,the depthof the richesbothof the wisdomand knowledgeof God!Howunsearchableare His judgmentsand unfathomableHis ways!
but to thosewho are the called,bothJewsand Greeks,Christthe powerof Godand the wisdomof God.
But by His doing you are in ChristJesus,whobecameto us wisdomfrom God,and righteousnessand sanctification,and redemption,
whichHe lavishedon us. In allwisdomand insight
For it was the [Father's] good pleasurefor allthe fullnessto dwellin Him,
We proclaimHim, admonishingeverymanand teachingeverymanwith allwisdom,sothat we may presenteverymancompletein Christ.
For thisreasonalso,sincethe daywe heard[of it], we have not ceasedto prayfor you and to askthat you may be filledwith the knowledgeof His willin allspiritualwisdomand understanding,
Let the wordof Christrichlydwellwithinyou, with allwisdomteachingand admonishingone anotherwith psalms[and] hymns[and] spiritualsongs,singingwith thankfulnessin your heartsto God.
For you have diedand your lifeis hiddenwith Christin God.
Nowfor thisveryreason also,applyingalldiligence,in your faithsupplymoralexcellence, and in [your] moral excellence,knowledge,
He who hasan ear,let him hearwhatthe Spiritsaysto the churches.To him who overcomes,to him I will give[some] of the hiddenmanna,and I will givehim a whitestone,and a newnamewrittenon the stonewhichno oneknowsbut he who receivesit.'
