But Peter,alongwith John,fixed his gazeon him and said,"Lookat us!"
And He closedthe book,gave it backto the attendantand sat down;and the eyesof allin the synagoguewere fixedon Him.
Jesussaid to her, "Did I not sayto you that ifyou believe,you will seethe gloryof God?"
When Jesussawhim lying[there], and knewthat he had alreadybeena longtime[in that condition], He saidto him, "Do you wishto getwell?"
And fixing his gazeon him and beingmuch alarmed,he said,"Whatis it, Lord?"And he saidto him, "Your prayersand almshave ascendedas a memorialbeforeGod.
and when I had fixed my gazeon it and was observingit I sawthe four-footed animalsof the earthand the wild beastsand the crawling creaturesand the birdsof the air.
NowPeterand Johnwere goingup to the templeat the ninth[hour], the hourof prayer.
While he was clingingto Peterand John,allthe peopleran togetherto them at the so-calledporticoof Solomon,full of amazement.
But when Petersaw[this], he repliedto the people,"Menof Israel,whyare you amazedat this,orwhydo you gazeat us, as ifby our ownpowerorpietywe had madehim walk?
When he sawPeterand Johnaboutto gointo the temple,he [began] askingto receivealms.
And he [began] to give them his attention,expectingto receivesomethingfrom them.
