For when they maintainthis,it escapes their noticethat by the wordof God[the] heavensexistedlong agoand [the] earthwas formedout of waterand by water,
Then Godsaid,"Let there be an expansein the midstof the waters,and let it separatethe watersfrom the waters."
Then Godsaid,"Let the watersbelowthe heavensbe gatheredinto oneplace,and let the drylandappear";and it was so.
To Him who spreadout the earthabovethe waters,For His lovingkindnessis everlasting;
For He has foundedit upon the seasAnd establishedit upon the rivers.
By the wordof the LORDthe heavenswere made,And by the breathof His mouthalltheir host.
Whyis there a pricein the handof a foolto buywisdom,When he hasnosense?
And justas they did not see fitto acknowledgeGodany longer, Godgave them overto a depravedmind,to dothosethings which are not proper,
He is beforeallthings, and in Him all thingshold together.
By faithwe understandthat the worldswere preparedby the wordof God,sothat what is seenwas not madeout of things which are visible.
