Sincemanyboastaccordingto the flesh,I will boastalso.
We are foolsfor Christ'ssake, but you are prudentin Christ;we are weak, but you are strong;you are distinguished, but we are without honor.
Therefore,I was not vacillatingwhen I intendedto do this, was I? OrwhatI purpose,do I purposeaccordingto the flesh, sothat with me there will be yes, yesand no,no[at the same time]?
But whatI am doingI will continueto do,sothat I may cut offopportunityfrom thosewho desirean opportunityto be regardedjustas we are in the matter about whichthey are boasting.
Boastingis necessary, thoughit is not profitable;but I will goon to visionsand revelationsof the Lord.
I have becomefoolish;you yourselvescompelledme. ActuallyI shouldhave been commendedby you, for in norespectwas I inferiorto the most eminentapostles, eventhoughI ama nobody.
And He has saidto me, "My graceis sufficientfor you, for poweris perfectedin weakness."Most gladly, therefore,I will ratherboastaboutmy weaknesses, sothat the powerof Christmay dwellin me.
Thereforefrom nowon we recognizeno oneaccordingto the flesh;eventhoughwe have knownChristaccordingto the flesh, yetnowwe know[Him] [in this way] no longer.
