"Ifa mansinsagainst his neighborand is madeto takean oath,and he comes[and] takesan oathbeforeYour altarin thishouse,
"Listento the supplicationsof Your servantand of Your peopleIsraelwhenthey praytowardthisplace;hearfrom Your dwellingplace,from heaven;hearand forgive.
then hearfrom heavenand actand judgeYour servants,punishingthe wickedby bringinghis wayon his own headand justifyingthe righteousby givinghim according to his righteousness.
an oathbefore the LORDshall be madeby the twoof them that he has not laidhandson his neighbor'sproperty;and its ownershall accept[it], and he shall not makerestitution.
That I not be fulland deny[You] and say,"Whois the LORD?"Or that I not be in wantand steal,And profanethe nameof my God.
Now ifa personsinsafter he hearsa publicadjuration[to testify] when he is a witness,whetherhe has seenor[otherwise] known,ifhe does not tell[it], then he will bearhis guilt.
"And, 'Whoeverswearsby the altar,[that] is nothing,but whoeverswearsby the offeringon it, he is obligated.'
