for they gavethat to those who didthe work,and with it they repairedthe houseof the LORD.
They in turn gave[it] to the carpentersand to the buildersto buyquarriedstoneand timberfor couplingsand to makebeamsfor the houseswhichthe kingsof Judahhad let goto ruin.
They cameto Hilkiahthe highpriestand deliveredthe moneythat was broughtinto the houseof God,whichthe Levites,the doorkeepers,had collectedfrom Manassehand Ephraim,and from allthe remnantof Israel,and from allJudahand Benjaminand the inhabitantsof Jerusalem.
Then they gavemoneyto the masonsand carpenters,and food,drinkand oilto the Sidoniansand to the Tyrians,to bringcedarwoodfrom Lebanonto the seaat Joppa,according to the permissionthey had from Cyruskingof Persia.
