Now when Rehoboamhad cometo Jerusalem,he assembledthe houseof Judahand Benjamin,180000chosenmen who were warriors,to fightagainstIsraelto restorethe kingdomto Rehoboam.
Abijahbeganthe battlewith an armyof valiantwarriors,400000chosenmen,while Jeroboamdrewup in battleformationagainsthim with 800,000chosenmen[who were] valiantwarriors.
Now Asahadan armyof 300,000from Judah,bearinglargeshieldsand spears,and 280,000from Benjamin,bearingshieldsand wieldingbows;allof them were valiantwarriors.
He hadlargesuppliesin the citiesof Judah,and warriors,valiantmen,in Jerusalem.
and nextto him [was] Johananthe commander,and with him 280,000;
Undertheir directionwas an elitearmyof 307,500,who could wagewarwith greatpower,to helpthe kingagainstthe enemy.
and they assembledallthe congregationtogether on the firstof the secondmonth.Then they registeredby ancestryin their families,by their fathers'households,according to the numberof names,from twentyyearsoldand upward,headby head,
