Do not quenchthe Spirit;

"However, You borewith them for manyyears,And admonishedthem by Your SpiritthroughYour prophets,Yet they would not giveear.Therefore You gavethem into the handof the peoplesof the lands.
Do not castme awayfrom Your presenceAnd do not takeYour HolySpiritfrom me.
"Manywaterscannotquenchlove,Norwill riversoverflowit; Ifa manwere to giveallthe richesof his housefor love,It would be utterlydespised."
But they rebelledAnd grievedHis HolySpirit;Therefore He turnedHimself to become their enemy,He foughtagainst them.
"You men who are stiff-neckedand uncircumcisedin heartand earsare alwaysresistingthe HolySpirit;you are doing justas your fathersdid.
But ifa revelation is madeto anotherwho is seated,the firstone must keep silent.
Do not grievethe HolySpiritof God,by whomyou were sealedfor the dayof redemption.
in addition to all,takingup the shieldof faithwith whichyou will be ableto extinguishallthe flamingarrowsof the evil[one].
do not despiseprophetic utterances.
Do not neglectthe spiritual giftwithinyou, whichwas bestowedon you throughprophetic utterancewith the layingon of handsby the presbytery.
For thisreasonI remindyou to kindle afreshthe giftof Godwhichis in you throughthe layingon of my hands.
