He said,"Good!I will makea covenantwith you, but I demandonethingof you, namely,you shall not seemy faceunlessyou firstbringMichal,Saul'sdaughter,when you cometo seeme."
[When it was told] to the Gazites,saying,"Samsonhas comehere,"they surrounded[the place] and layin waitfor him allnightat the gateof the city.And they keptsilentallnight,saying,"[Let us wait] untilthe morninglight,then we will killhim."
Then Saulsentmessengersto takeDavid,but when they sawthe companyof the prophetsprophesying,with Samuelstanding[and] presidingoverthem, the Spiritof Godcameupon the messengersof Saul;and they alsoprophesied.
"For as longas the sonof Jesseliveson the earth,neitheryou noryour kingdomwill be established.Therefore now,sendand bringhim to me, for he mustsurelydie."
