When Jezebelheardthat Nabothhad been stonedand was dead,Jezebelsaidto Ahab,"Arise,takepossessionof the vineyardof Naboth,the Jezreelite,whichhe refusedto giveyou for money;for Nabothis not alive,but dead."
Now it cameabout afterthesethingsthat Naboththe Jezreelitehada vineyardwhich[was] in Jezreelbesidethe palaceof Ahabkingof Samaria.
Then they sent[word] to Jezebel,saying,"Nabothhas been stonedand is dead."
When Ahabheardthat Nabothwas dead,Ahabaroseto godownto the vineyardof Naboththe Jezreelite,to takepossessionof it.
Jezebelhis wifesaidto him, "Do you nowreignoverIsrael?Arise,eatbread,and let your heartbe joyful;I will giveyou the vineyardof Naboththe Jezreelite."
Then Joramsaid,"Getready."And they madehis chariotready.Joramkingof Israeland Ahaziahkingof Judahwentout, eachin his chariot,and they wentout to meetJehuand foundhim in the propertyof Naboththe Jezreelite.
You shall strikethe houseof Ahabyour master,that I may avengethe bloodof My servantsthe prophets,and the bloodof allthe servantsof the LORD,at the handof Jezebel.
For they eatthe breadof wickednessAnd drinkthe wineof violence.
