Now when the kingheardthe sayingof the manof God,whichhe criedagainstthe altarin Bethel,Jeroboamstretchedout his handfrom the altar,saying,"Seizehim." But his handwhichhe stretchedout againsthim driedup, so that he couldnot drawit backto himself.
They struckthe menwhowere at the doorwayof the housewith blindness,bothsmalland great,so that they wearied[themselves trying] to findthe doorway.
He setonein Bethel,and the otherhe putin Dan.
Then he gavea signthe sameday,saying,"Thisis the signwhichthe LORDhas spoken,'Behold,the altarshall be splitapartand the asheswhichare on it shall be pouredout.'"
The altaralso was splitapartand the asheswere pouredout from the altar,according to the signwhichthe manof Godhad givenby the wordof the LORD.
and say,'Thussaysthe king,"Putthisman in prisonand feedhim sparinglywith breadand wateruntilI returnsafely."'"
Then Asawas angrywith the seerand puthim in prison,for he was enragedat him for this.And Asaoppressedsomeof the peopleat the sametime.
"Do not touchMy anointedones,And doMy prophetsnoharm."
"The Kingwill answerand sayto them, 'TrulyI sayto you, to the extentthat you didit to oneof thesebrothersof Mine,[even] the least[of them], you didit to Me.'
Thosewho had seizedJesusled Him awayto Caiaphas,the high priest,wherethe scribesand the elderswere gathered together.
After looking aroundat them all,He saidto him, "Stretchout your hand!"And he did[so]; and his handwas restored.
"Truly,truly,I sayto you, he who receiveswhomeverI sendreceivesMe; and he who receivesMe receivesHim who sentMe."
SowhenHe saidto them, "I am[He]," they drewbackand fellto the ground.
And ifanyonewantsto harmthem, fireflowsout of their mouthand devourstheir enemies;soifanyonewantsto harmthem, he mustbe killedin this way.
