The LORDsaidto Satan,"The LORDrebukeyou, Satan!Indeed, the LORDwho has chosenJerusalemrebukeyou! Is thisnot a brandpluckedfrom the fire?"
When they had gonea longtime without food,thenPaulstoodup in their midstand said,"Men,you oughtto have followed my adviceand not to have set sailfrom Creteand incurredthisdamageand loss.
and the rest[should follow], someon planks,and otherson various thingsfrom the ship.And soit happenedthat they allwere brought safelyto land.
AND IFIT IS WITH DIFFICULTYTHAT THE RIGHTEOUSIS SAVED,WHATWILL BECOMEOF THE GODLESS MANAND THE SINNER?
Watchyourselves,that you do not losewhatwe have accomplished,but that you may receivea fullreward.
saveothers, snatchingthem out of the fire;and on somehave mercywith fear,hatingeventhe garmentpollutedby the flesh.
I adviseyou to buyfrom Me goldrefinedby firesothat you may become rich,and whitegarmentssothat you may clotheyourself, and [that] the shameof your nakednesswill not be revealed;and eye salveto anointyour eyessothat you may see.
