Pursuelove,yetdesire earnestlyspiritual[gifts], but especiallythat you may prophesy.
The wayof the wickedis an abominationto the LORD,But He lovesone who pursuesrighteousness.
He who pursuesrighteousnessand loyaltyFindslife,righteousnessand honor.
"Listento me, you who pursuerighteousness,Who seekthe LORD:Lookto the rockfrom which you were hewnAnd to the quarryfrom which you were dug.
Since we havegiftsthat differaccordingto the gracegivento us, [each of us is to exercise them accordingly]: ifprophecy,accordingto the proportionof his faith;
So thenwe pursuethe things which make for peaceand the buildingup of one another.
Whatshall we saythen?That Gentiles,who did not pursuerighteousness,attainedrighteousness,eventhe righteousnesswhich is by faith;
Nowconcerningspiritual[gifts], brethren,I do not wantyou to be unaware.
But earnestly desirethe greatergifts.And I showyou a stillmore excellentway.
But nowfaith,hope,love,abidethesethree;but the greatestof theseis love.
IfI have[the gift of] prophecy,and knowallmysteriesand allknowledge;and ifI haveallfaith,soas to removemountains,but do not havelove,I amnothing.
So thentonguesare for a sign,not to thosewho believebut to unbelievers;but prophecy[is for a sign], not to unbelieversbut to thosewho believe.
Ifanyonethinkshe is a prophetorspiritual,let him recognizethat the things whichI writeto you are the Lord'scommandment.
Therefore,my brethren,desire earnestlyto prophesy,and do not forbidto speakin tongues.
Let allthat you do be donein love.
Blessed[be] the Godand Fatherof our LordJesusChrist,who has blessedus with everyspiritualblessingin the heavenly[places] in Christ,
do not despiseprophetic utterances.
Do not neglectthe spiritual giftwithinyou, whichwas bestowedon you throughprophetic utterancewith the layingon of handsby the presbytery.
having a reputationfor goodworks;[and] ifshe has brought up children,ifshe has shown hospitality to strangers,ifshe has washedthe saints'feet,ifshe has assistedthose in distress,[and] ifshe has devoted herselfto everygoodwork.
But fleefrom these things,you manof God,and pursuerighteousness,godliness,faith,love,perseverance[and] gentleness.
Nowfleefrom youthfullustsand pursuerighteousness,faith,love[and] peace,with thosewho callon the Lordfrom a pureheart.
Pursuepeacewith all men,and the sanctificationwithoutwhichno onewill seethe Lord.
and in [your] godliness,brotherlykindness, and in [your] brotherly kindness,love.
Beloved,do not imitatewhat is evil,but what is good.The one who does goodis of God;the one who does evilhas not seenGod.
"Afterwardyou will cometo the hillof Godwherethe Philistinegarrisonis; and it shall be as soon as you have comethereto the city,that you will meeta groupof prophetscomingdownfrom the highplacewith harp,tambourine,flute,and a lyrebeforethem, and they will be prophesying.
