But the goalof our instructionis lovefrom a pureheartand a goodconscienceand a sincerefaith.
Aboveall,keepferventin your lovefor one another,becauselovecoversa multitudeof sins.
But the fruitof the Spiritis love,joy,peace,patience,kindness,goodness,faithfulness,
Loveneverfails;but if[there are gifts of] prophecy,they will be doneaway;if[there are] tongues,they will cease;if[there is] knowledge,it will be done away.
For in ChristJesusneithercircumcisionnoruncircumcisionmeansanything,but faithworkingthroughlove.
Nowconcerningthings sacrificed to idols,we knowthat we allhaveknowledge.Knowledgemakes arrogant,but loveedifies.
For speakingout arrogant[words] of vanitythey enticeby fleshlydesires,by sensuality,thosewho barelyescapefrom the ones who livein error,
For ifbecauseof foodyour brotheris hurt,you are no longerwalkingaccordingto love.Do not destroywith your foodhim for whomChristdied.
"ThenHe will answerthem, 'TrulyI sayto you, to the extentthat you didnot doit to oneof the leastof these,you did not doit to Me.'
For to oneis giventhe wordof wisdomthroughthe Spirit,and to anotherthe wordof knowledgeaccordingto the sameSpirit;
And ifthe earsays,"BecauseI amnot an eye,I amnot [a part] of the body,"it is not for thisreasonanythe less[a part] of the body.
was caughtup into Paradiseand heardinexpressiblewords,whicha manis not permittedto speak.
PraiseHim with loudcymbals;PraiseHim with resoundingcymbals.
"Thesesignswill accompanythosewho have believed:in My namethey will castout demons,they will speakwith newtongues;
and to anotherthe effectingof miracles,and to anotherprophecy,and to anotherthe distinguishingof spirits,to another[various] kindsof tongues,and to anotherthe interpretationof tongues.
For one who speaksin a tonguedoes not speakto menbut to God;for no oneunderstands,but in [his] spirithe speaksmysteries.
One who speaksin a tongueedifieshimself;but one who prophesiesedifiesthe church.
NowI wishthat you allspokein tongues,but [even] morethat you would prophesy;and greateris one who prophesiesthanone who speaksin tongues,unlesshe interprets,sothat the churchmay receiveedifying.
And I hearda voicefrom heaven,likethe soundof manywatersand likethe soundof loudthunder,and the voicewhichI heard[was] like[the sound] of harpistsplayingon their harps.
