So they and their sonshad chargeof the gatesof the houseof the LORD,[even] the houseof the tent,as guards.
Thus they are to keepchargeof the tentof meeting,and chargeof the holyplace, and chargeof the sonsof Aarontheir relatives,for the serviceof the houseof the LORD.
To thesedivisionsof the gatekeepers,the chiefmen,[were given] dutiesliketheir relativesto ministerin the houseof the LORD.
Allthese who were chosento be gatekeepersat the thresholdswere 212Thesewere enrolledby genealogyin their villages,whomDavidand Samuelthe seerappointedin their office of trust.
The gatekeeperswere on the foursides,to the east,west,northand south.
He stationedthe gatekeepersof the houseof the LORD,so that noone would enter[who was] in anywayunclean.
