Then the kingcommanded,and they quarriedgreatstones,costlystones,to laythe foundationof the housewith cutstones.
"You knowthat Davidmy fatherwas unableto builda housefor the nameof the LORDhis Godbecauseof the warswhichsurroundedhim, untilthe LORDputthem underthe solesof his feet.
Neverthelessyou shall not buildthe house,but your sonwho will be bornto you, he will buildthe housefor My name.'
"But Godsaidto me, 'You shall not builda housefor My namebecauseyou are a manof warand have shedblood.'
"You shall purifyfor yourselves everygarmentand everyarticleof leatherand allthe workof goats'[hair], and allarticlesof wood."
"And you shall washyour clotheson the seventhdayand be clean,and afterwardyou may enterthe camp."
