So they cameand calledto the gatekeepersof the city,and they toldthem, saying,"We cameto the campof the Arameans,and behold,therewas noonethere,northe voiceof man,onlythe horsestiedand the donkeystied,and the tentsjustas they were."
Thus the arkof Godremainedwith the familyof Obed-edomin his housethreemonths;and the LORDblessedthe familyof Obed-edomwith allthat he had.
So the LevitesappointedHemanthe sonof Joel,and from his relatives,Asaphthe sonof Berechiah;and from the sonsof Meraritheir relatives,Ethanthe sonof Kushaiah,
So the singers,Heman,Asaphand Ethan[were appointed] to soundaloud cymbalsof bronze;
and Zechariah,Aziel,Shemiramoth,Jehiel,Unni,Eliab,Maaseiahand Benaiah,with harps[tuned] to alamoth;
and Mattithiah,Eliphelehu,Mikneiah,Obed-edom,Jeieland Azaziah,to leadwith lyrestuned to the sheminith.
and Obed-edomwith his 68relatives;Obed-edom,also the sonof Jeduthun,and Hosahas gatekeepers.
The brotherof Micah,Isshiah;of the sonsof Isshiah,Zechariah.
For Obed-edom[it fell] to the south,and to his sonswent the storehouse.
Obed-edomhad sons:Shemaiahthe firstborn,Jehozabadthe second,Joahthe third,Sacarthe fourth,Nethanelthe fifth,
Allthese[were] of the sonsof Obed-edom;they and their sonsand their relatives[were] ablemenwith strengthfor the service,62from Obed-edom.
