Then Davidbecameangrybecauseof the LORD'Soutburstagainst Uzza;and he calledthat placePerez-uzzato thisday.
Therefore,to thisdaythe sonsof Israeldo not eatthe sinewof the hipwhichis on the socketof the thigh,becausehe touchedthe socketof Jacob'sthighin the sinewof the hip.
And the angerof the LORDburnedagainst Uzzah,and Godstruckhim downtherefor his irreverence;and he diedthereby the arkof God.
So Davidwas afraidof the LORDthat day;and he said,"Howcan the arkof the LORDcometo me?"
The angerof the LORDburnedagainst Uzza,so He struckhim downbecausehe putout his handto the ark;and he diedtherebeforeGod.
Davidwas afraidof Godthat day,saying,"Howcan I bringthe arkof God[home] to me?"
"Becauseyou did not [carry it] at the first,the LORDour Godmadean outburston us, for we did not seekHim according to the ordinance."
"Alsolet the priestswho comenearto the LORDconsecratethemselves, orelsethe LORDwill breakout against them."
The LORDsaid,"Do you have goodreasonto be angry?"
Then Godsaidto Jonah,"Do you have goodreasonto be angryaboutthe plant?"And he said,"I have goodreasonto be angry,even to death."
And He buriedhim in the valleyin the landof Moab,oppositeBeth-peor;but nomanknowshis burialplaceto thisday.
Then Joshuasetup twelvestonesin the middleof the Jordanat the placewherethe feetof the priestswho carriedthe arkof the covenantwere standing,and they are thereto thisday.
