Jehovah is in His holy temple; Jehovah's throne is in Heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids examine the children of men.

You have proved my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me, and You will find nothing; my thoughts do not pass beyond my mouth.

The face of Jehovah is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.

shall not God search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.

And Jehovah said to him, Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, Jehovah?

Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging, and whoever goes astray by it is not wise.

The hearing ear and the seeing eye, Jehovah has made both of them.

Behold, Jehovah's hand is not shortened so that it cannot save, nor is His ear heavy so that it cannot hear.

So with your mouth you have boasted against Me, and have multiplied your words against Me. I have heard them.

If all the body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If all hearing, where would be the smelling?
