In the day of my trouble I sought Jehovah; my hand was poured in the night, and ceased not; my soul refused to be comforted.

Come and let us return to Jehovah. For He has torn, and He will heal us; He has stricken, and He will bind us up.

The spirit of a man will nourish his sickness, but a wounded spirit who can bear?

In the day of my trouble I will call on You; for You will answer me.

when I remember You on my bed and think of You in the night watches.

In my distress I called on Jehovah, and I cried to my God; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, into His ears.

If you prepare your heart and stretch out your hands toward Him;

If there is famine in the land, if there is a plague, if blasting or mildew, locusts or ravagers, if their enemies have distressed them in the gates of their land, with any plague and any sickness;

And He said, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for like a prince you have power with God and with men, and have prevailed.

Evening and morning, and at noon, I will pray and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice.
