Man in honor, but without understanding, is like the animals; they shall perish.

But man, though high in honor, does not remain; he is like the animals that perish.

Is not their tent cord plucked up within them? They die, but not with wisdom.

And they hanged Haman on the wooden gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. And the king's wrath lay down.

before I go, and I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death;

but if a man lives many years, and rejoices in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness, for they shall be many. All that comes is vanity.
