When I remember these things, I pour out my soul on me; for I had gone with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God with the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping the feast.

Why should the nations say, Where is their God? Let Him be known among the nations before our eyes by the revenging of the blood of Your servants which is shed.

You make us a strife for our neighbors; and our enemies laugh among themselves.

because of Your anger and Your wrath; for You have lifted me up and cast me down.

Why should the nations say, Where now is their God?

For my brothers and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within you.

And the ruler shall go in among them when they go in. And when they go out, he shall go out.

Let the priests, the ministers of Jehovah, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Have pity on Your people, O Jehovah, and give not Your inheritance to shame, for a proverb among those of the nations. Why should they say among the people, Where is their God?
