I have waited for Your salvation, O Jehovah.

Though he slay me, I will not wait, but I will maintain my own ways before Him.

He comes forth like a flower, and withers; he also flees as a shadow, and does not stand.

Jehovah, I have hoped for Your salvation, and have done Your Commandments.

For in You, O Jehovah, do I hope; You will hear, O Jehovah my God.

Their inward thought is that their houses shall go on forever, and their dwelling-places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.
