He delivers me from my enemies; yea, You lift me up above those who rise up against me; You have delivered me from the violent man.

To the Chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Deliver me, O Jehovah, from the evil man; keep me from the violent man,

Do not let an evil speaker be established in the earth; evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

O Jehovah, keep me from the hands of the wicked; keep me from the violent man who purposed to trip up my steps.

His mischief shall return on his own head, and his violence shall come on his own crown.

O God, the proud have risen against me, and the company of violent men have sought after my life, and have not set You before them.

You have a mighty arm; Your hand is strong, and Your right hand is high.

Therefore God has highly exalted Him, and has given Him a name which is above every name,
