O Jehovah, keep me from the hands of the wicked; keep me from the violent man who purposed to trip up my steps.

My steps have been held in Your paths, so that my footsteps have not slipped.

Do not let the foot of pride come against me, and do not let the hand of the wicked move me.

You love all devouring words, O deceitful tongue.

which will not listen to the charmer's voice, a skillful caster of spells.

Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

It is not good to favor the person of the wicked, nor to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
