You have rebuked the proud who are cursed, who go astray from Your Commandments.

But they and our fathers acted proudly and hardened their necks, and did not listen to Your commandments.

and testified against them that You might bring them again to Your Law. But they acted proudly and did not listen to Your commandments, but sinned against Your judgments (which if a man do, he shall live in them), and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.

With all my heart I have sought You; do not let me wander from Your Commandments.

The wicked have laid a snare for me; yet I do not go astray from Your Commandments.

Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to robbers? Did not Jehovah, against whom we have sinned? For they would not walk in His ways, nor did they obey His Law.

And I will defile rulers of the sanctuary, and will give Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.

As for the Word that you have spoken to us in the name of Jehovah, we will not listen to you.

Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and exalt and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth and His ways judgment. And those who walk in pride He is able to humble.

For behold, the day is coming, burning like a fire pot; and all the proud, and every doer of wickedness, shall be chaff. And the coming day will set them ablaze, says Jehovah of Hosts, which will not leave root or branches to them.

For whoever exalts himself shall be abased, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself shall be abased, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone having been hanged on a tree");

And it shall be, if you will not listen to the voice of Jehovah your God, to observe and to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, all these curses shall come on you and overtake you.

I call Heaven and earth to record today against you. I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life, so that both you and your seed may live,

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says, God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.

Likewise, younger ones, be subject to older ones, and all being subject to one another. Put on humility. For God resists proud ones, but He gives grace to the humble.
