Proverbs 27:11

My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, so that I may answer him who shames me.

The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son is the sorrow of his mother.

And I shall have something to answer him who mocks me; for I trust in Your Word.

I rejoiced greatly that I found your children walking in truth, as we have received command from the Father.

For we have great joy and consolation over your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

Whoever loves wisdom rejoices his father; but a companion of harlots wastes wealth.

A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother.

And now be wise, O kings; be instructed, O judges of the earth.

The sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who can give a reason.

A sensible one foresees the evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished.
