Proverbs 27:11

My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, so that I may answer him who shames me.

And now be wise, O kings; be instructed, O judges of the earth.

The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son is the sorrow of his mother.

A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother.

The sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who can give a reason.

A sensible one foresees the evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished.

Whoever loves wisdom rejoices his father; but a companion of harlots wastes wealth.

For we have great joy and consolation over your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

I rejoiced greatly that I found your children walking in truth, as we have received command from the Father.
