As he who takes away a garment in cold weather, as vinegar upon niter, so is he who sings songs to a heavy heart.

Like vinegar to the teeth, and like smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him.

Trust in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.

a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
