He who loves pleasure shall be a poor man; he who loves wine and oil shall not be rich.

The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.

A desirable treasure and oil are in the home of the wise; but a foolish man swallows it up.

Do not be among those who drink much wine, among gluttons for flesh for themselves,

for the drunkard and the glutton lose all, and sleepiness shall clothe a man with rags.

But she who lives in self-pleasure has died while living.
