And now come, please let me give you counsel, and save your own life and the life of your son Solomon.

Do you say that a mere word of the lips is wisdom and strength for the war? Now on whom do you trust that you rebel against me?

Where there is no wisdom, the people fall; but in the multitude of wise men there is safety.

Without wisdom, purposes are defeated, but by many wise men they are established.

For by wise counsel you shall make your war; and in a multitude of wise men there is safety.

Do not go forth quickly to fight, lest you know not what to do in the end of it, when your neighbor has put you to shame.

Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not first sit down and consult whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?

And it was so that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the sons of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt to this day. Think of it, take advice and speak.

And the sons of Israel rose and went up to the house of God and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle against the sons of Benjamin? And Jehovah said, Judah first.

And the sons of Israel went up and wept before Jehovah until evening, and asked counsel from Jehovah saying, Shall I go up again to battle against the sons of Benjamin my brother? And Jehovah said, Go up against him.

Behold, you are all sons of Israel. Give here your advice and counsel.

And I wish this people were under my hand! Then I would remove Abimelech. And he said to Abimelech, Increase your army, and come out!
