He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, even both of them are hateful to Jehovah.

And there came in two men, sons of Belial, and sat before him. And the men of Belial witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth blasphemed God and the king. And they carried him out of the city and stoned him with stones so that he died.

They gather themselves against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

Keep far from a false matter, and do not kill the innocent and righteous. For I will not justify the wicked.

False balances are hateful to Jehovah; but a just weight is His delight.

The sacrifice of the wicked is a hateful thing to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

And it is not good to punish the just, nor to strike princes for uprightness.

It is not good to favor the person of the wicked, nor to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.

These six Jehovah hates; yea, seven are hateful to his soul:

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who put darkness for light and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

to turn aside the right of a man before the face of the Most High;

And will you profane Me among My people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to kill the souls that should not die; and to save alive the souls that should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to lies.

For I know your many transgressions and your many sins. They afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate.

You who turn judgment to wormwood and leave off righteousness in the earth,

Shall horses run on the rock? Will one plow there with oxen? For you have turned justice into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock;

But to him not working, but believing on Him justifying the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

If there is a controversy between men, and they come to judgment, and they have been judged, and the righteous one is declared righteous, and the wrongdoer declared guilty,

You have condemned and murdered the just; he does not resist you.
