But the chief of the executioners left a few of the poor of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen.

He will not take any ransom; nor will he be willing if you multiply the gifts.

But Nebuzaradan, the chief of the executioners, left some of the poor people, who had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields on that day.

But ten men were found among them who said to Ishmael, Do not kill us, for we have treasures in the field, of wheat, and of barley, and of oil, and of honey. So he held back and did not kill them among their brothers.

I will also leave in your midst a poor and weak people, and they shall trust in the name of Jehovah.

For what is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
