By the blessing of the upright the city is lifted up, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

Righteousness lifts up a nation, but sin is a shame to any people.

Scornful men bring a city into a snare, but the wise turn away wrath.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. So the tongue is set among our members, spotting all the body and inflaming the course of nature, and being inflamed by hell.

And a poor wise man was found in it, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that poor man.
