How long will you love simplicity, simple ones? And will scorners delight in their scorning? And will fools hate knowledge?

What man is like Job, who drinks up scorning like water;

Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful.

Understand, you beastly ones among the people; and fools, when will you be wise?

And Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh and said to him, So says Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, so that they may serve Me.

And Jehovah said to Moses, How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My Laws?

she cries in the chief place of gathering, in the openings of the gates; in the city she utters her words, saying,

instead they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of Jehovah.

For the turning away of the simple kills them, and the ease of fools destroys them.

to give sense to the simple, knowledge and judgment to the young man;

The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

A scorner seeks wisdom, and it is not found, but knowledge is easy to him who understands.

A scorner does not love one who corrects him, nor will he go to the wise.

Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.

When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise; and when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.

Proud, haughty scorner is his name, he who deals in proud wrath.

A prudent one foresees the evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished.

Surely He scorns the scorners; but He gives grace to the lowly.

and say, How I have hated instruction, and my heart despised correction;

How long will you sleep, O sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep?

and I saw among the simple ones, among the youths, a young man with no understanding,

O simple ones, understand wisdom; and, fools, be of an understanding heart.

I have seen your adulteries, and your neighings, the wickedness of your fornication, and your abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! Will you not be made clean? How long will it still be?

O Jerusalem, cleanse your heart from evil so that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?

How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmurs against Me? I have heard the murmurings of the sons of Israel which they murmur against Me.

Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? Bring him here to Me.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to her, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you would not!

But go and learn what this is, I will have mercy and not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

saying, If you had known, even you, even at least in this day of yours, the things for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.

For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

First, knowing this, that there will come in the last days scoffers walking according to their own lusts

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come! And let the one hearing say, Come! And let the one who is thirsty come. And he willing, let him take of the Water of Life freely.
