she cries in the chief place of gathering, in the openings of the gates; in the city she utters her words, saying,
Wisdom cries outside; she utters her voice in the streets;
How long will you love simplicity, simple ones? And will scorners delight in their scorning? And will fools hate knowledge?
Does not wisdom call? And does not understanding put forth her voice?
She cries in the gates, before the entrance of the city, at the doors.
She has sent out her young women; she cries upon the highest places of the city,
What I tell you in darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear, proclaim on the housetops.
And great crowds were gathered to Him, so that He went into a boat and sat. And all the crowd stood on the shore.
Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple, where the Jews always resort, and I have said nothing in secret.
